Why this exists

Summit Debt Solutions works with Canadians under financial strain every day. The pattern that comes up most often is not recklessness or bad character. It is that people were making decisions about credit, interest, and repayment without ever having been taught how any of it works — and most of the industry built around them had little incentive to teach them.

Summit Financial Education exists to fix the part of that we can actually fix.

How we approach it

The basics come first, and they're free. Understanding how credit reporting works, or what your options are when you're under strain, should not sit behind a paywall. The first three modules cover that ground and stay free permanently.

We tell you what things cost. Every path has a price — in money, in credit impact, in time. A guide that omits the downside of the option it recommends is advertising wearing an education costume.

We don't promise scores. Nobody can guarantee a particular credit score, and nobody can remove accurate information from your report. What we can do is explain what genuinely moves a score, in what order, and roughly how long each stage takes.

We teach; we don't do it for you. That distinction matters. The value here is that you come out understanding the system well enough to make your own decisions — including decisions we have no financial stake in.

Our relationship with Summit Debt Solutions

Summit Financial Education is the education division of Summit Debt Solutions, a general partnership registered in Ontario. We state that plainly on every page.

In practice: what we sell here are educational courses. They are not credit repair or credit counselling services. Buying a course does not enrol you in any repayment or relief arrangement, and it does not obligate you to work with Summit Debt Solutions or anyone else.

If your situation calls for a licensed professional rather than a course, we will tell you so, even though that is not what we sell.
